qualified OR RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104 About The
Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Surgical Specialty Job
Specialty: FS Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Guaranteed Hours:
36.00 per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care surgical
floor experience License: Current RN License from State Board of
Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
Certifications: - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American
Heart Association Must-Have: Acute care surgical floor experience;
ENT and/or Transplant experience preferred; Medical-Surgical
experience required Job Description: - Provide nursing care in a
hospital setting to patients with a range of health problems, from
simple to complex, under general supervision. - Assume
responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting
responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical
treatments. - Assist physicians during patient examinations and
minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. - Monitor and obtain
physiological data of patients, observing manifestations and
intervening when necessary. - Administer medication, initiate,
regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. -
Deliver competent patient care and interact with family to
communicate care plans and hospital procedures. - Make patient care
referrals to appropriate personnel and delegate tasks to support
staff. Essential Responsibilities: - Care for post-operative
patients, including those with drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies,
NGT, or DHT. - Provide step-down care as needed, managing patients
with surgical or transplant needs. - Monitor transplant patients
for rejection, reaction, and signs of infection. Skills: -
Knowledge of professional nursing theory and ability to organize,
plan, and coordinate nursing services. - Good verbal and written
communication skills and ability to maintain good working
relationships. - Ability to respond effectively to cultural and
language needs of patients and visitors. - Basic computer skills.
Education: - Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an
accredited program. - Preferred: Bachelor of Science (or higher) in
